Registration Reminder for Next Year

For parents of current 6th and 7th grade LMS students: Good afternoon, again. I just wanted to remind everyone that registration forms for the coming 2015-2016 should be turned in to Mrs. Carol Stephens in the LMS Welcome Center Office by next Thursday, February 12.  Mrs. Stephens has received about a third of all registration forms from current 6th and 7th grade students at this time and is beginning to enter course requests into our scheduling program. We welcome comments and input regarding your child's preferred learning style, etc. on the registration form.  Since we cannot anticipate all staffing and team teacher configurations from one year to the next, please refrain from making specific teacher or team requests on the registration form.      Thank you for your time. Greg

Good afternoon.   I hope your week has gone well. My apologies for the traffic tie up this morning.   Members of the National Junior Honor Society requested permission to collect spare change from parents in morning car pool to support their Pennies for Patients fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.   I thought this was a wonderful idea.   Our students are so great about supporting worthy causes and initiating service activities.   My problem was approving this for today , when we had a larger number of cars than normal for a Ski Trip Friday.   I have made a “note to self” to keep this in mind for the future. CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS Best wishes and safe travels to the members of the LMS Science Olympiad team and coaches as they travel to Illinois this afternoon to compete in the Grayslake Invitational on Saturday. Thank you, once again, to our outstanding Counselors (Beth Mothersbaugh, Janey Worthington and Roger Sch...

Good afternoon.   I hope your weekend has gone well to this point.   We have a pretty busy week coming up with the third round of Discovery Education testing for the entire building (see our schedule below in the Calendar section) and LHWHS Counselors meeting with the current 8 th grade students to discuss registration for next year.   In addition, Tuesday is an election day and the LMS Library is once again designated as a polling place.   I will make every effort to ensure that parking and traffic are impacted minimally, particularly at dismissal. CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Old Bonhomme Elementary “Socks and Sandwiches” service event, held on Martin Luther King Day.   As a result of our community’s generosity, they were able to make and deliver over 2000 sandwiches and 1300 pairs of socks to area homeless shelters. Congratulations to the Ladue Middle School Science Olympiad teams for placing first and...
