Good afternoon and Happy Friday.

If the forecast is accurate, it appears this may be the last day of extremely hot afternoon temperatures.  I am ready for autumn.

CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS

Grade 7 Trip
Dear 7th grade Parents,
Due to scheduling problems with Trout Lodge we have to change the date of the 7th grade Trip to Thursday, November 13th. This change in date has the advantage that students do not have school on Friday, November 14th. The plans will remain the same. Students will depart LMS at 8:30 a.m. for Trout Lodge. Students will have lunch and participate in choice activities at Trout Lodge from 10-3. We will then spend the evening from 5-8 at The City Museum. Permission slips and forms should come home soon. We very much appreciate your flexibility and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sincerely,
Laila Crabtree
7th grade Trip Coordinator

Early Student Sign Out
If you need to pick your child up early from school, please call or send a note to school. This is especially important during the last period of the day because the office gets very busy and it is disruptive to call into classrooms. Thank you for your help in maintaining a positive learning environment.

MAP Scores
MAP Scores are in and will be mailed home next week.

6th Grade Camp
6th Grade Camp is just around the corner (Sep. 15-19).  All forms should be turned in.  More information about camp is available at:

Morning Student Drop Off/Supervision
I just want to remind everyone that we do not have staff available to monitor the Lobby for early student arrivals at school until 7:15 am.  I typically work in my office with my window blinds open to see anyone coming up the walk before then, and let them in.  This is not a huge problem now, but I am looking ahead to the colder winter months, wanting to avoid children standing outside if I am tied up or not at work.

LMSPA Fundraiser/Panera
Eat Bread Raise Dough.  Here's an excuse not to cook or maybe grab some bagels for snacks or breakfast.  From 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, September 10, Panera Bread located at 10550 Old Olive Boulevard in Creve Coeur will donate a percentage of its sales to the Ladue Middle School Parent Association when you present the LMSPA flyer.  The flyer is attached to the Blackboard Connect email.  The flyer MUST be presented at the time of purchase for a donation to occur.  The LMSPA uses all funds raised to support the education and community of LMS students, staff, parents/guardians.  Thank you for your support!
