August 1, 2013 Dads Club Request re: Community Night

Good evening.  Joe Mulligan, President of the LMS Dad's Club, asked me to pass along the following message/request:

The LMS Dad's Club and the LMS Parent Association will be providing BBQ and refreshments free of charge to the LMS students and their families at the Community Night on Friday August 9th. The food will be served from 5:00 p.m. to approximately 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. The LMS Dad's Club needs additional volunteers to help set-up, cook and serve the food starting at 3:00 p.m. Volunteerism at the event is not limited to just fathers of LMS students; we also welcome participation from mothers and even LMS alumni. In fact, two of the Mulligan boys that are LMS graduates and currently attending Ladue High School have graciously accepted their father's invitation to be volunteered and are looking forward to helping with BBQ "quality assurance".

This event is a lot of fun. Whether you can help out for just an hour or a few hours, it is a great opportunity to see some old friends, make new acquaintances and be involved in your child’s educational community. Interested parties should contact me for additional details. Thank you.

I hope you and your families are doing well.  We look forward to seeing you at Community Night on August 9, if you are able to attend.  On this evening, you can turn in necessary forms provided on Packet Pick Up Days (August 5 and 6), sign up for the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, and stock your student's locker.  Please be reminded that the school WILL NOT be providing locks for hallway lockers.  If you are leaving supplies in lockers on the evening of August 9, please attach your lock before leaving to secure your child's belongings.

Please be aware (once again) that we ask parents to attend with their students on that evening.  Teachers will not be in their classrooms, so supervision will be very limited.  In order to allow our office staff to end a very long day on time, I ask that we stay on the posted schedule of 4 to 7 p.m.

Thanks for your time and have a great evening,

Greg
