Good afternoon and Happy Friday:

     It has been a good week.  We all look forward to some cooler temperatures after the weekend.
     What follows is a rambling list of informational items, in no particular order.  I tried to get this out earlier today, but got sidetracked.  Excuse me if I make mistakes or omissions in my haste to wrap this up.

Congratulations
     Nancy Chambers, 7th Grade Mathematics on the Titan Team, will receive a district Excellence In Education Award at the September 23 School Board meeting.

Parent Teacher Conferences
     Fall Parent Conferences are scheduled for October 23 and 24.  If you have not done so already, you may be able to sign up for open time slots through our LMS website at http://www.ladue.k12.mo.us/lms/

Mailing next week
     We hope to get MAP test results from last spring out to everyone by mail next week.  Some letters/mailings may also include either a Technology Use form and/or a Publication Release Permission form if don’t have either one currently on file.  If you receive one or both, please look these over, sign and date them, and return them to our office at your earliest convenience.

To LMS Families from the LMSPA,
     We have 2 important messages for you regarding Buzz Book and grade level parent parties.  
#1 - New Buzz Book entries and updates were due by the end of day today, August 30th.  We are extending the deadline until Monday, September 2nd.  After that time, any additions or changes made will NOT be included in the paper Buzz Book!
DUE by Monday, September 2nd - LMSPA Buzz Book updates and informational email blast request:
     Do you want your child to be listed in the LMSPA online and paper Buzz Book (online student directory) and/or receive communications from the LMSPA throughout the year?
IF YES and you haven't done so already, please click on the following link to go to the LMSPA website Buzz Book page.

Once there, do the following:
     Choose option 1, if you are new to LMS, and need to set up information about your family and child.
     Choose option 2, if you had a child at LMS and entered buzz book information last year or if you have already completed option 1 and would like to go back in and review your entry.  If you have forgotten your password, use option 3!
PLEASE REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:
     * If you want your information published in the Buzz Book, you must click the appropriate check boxes at the bottom of the page.
     * If you want to receive LMSPA informational emails, you must click the appropriate check box at the bottom of the page.
CHECK YOUR RECORD - IMPORTANT
     After you have created or updated your information, please go back in using Option 2 and view your family's information to make sure it is accurate.  If you would like to notate to whom a cell phone number belongs, you can put a name in parenthesis after the appropriate cell number.
     After September 2nd, any changes made to the online Buzz Book will NOT be included in the paper Buzz Book!
**DISCLAIMER** 
     The LMSPA reserves the right to modify the data for publishing purposes in the paper version of the Buzz Book in order to accommodate page size constraints.

School Pictures Wednesday, August 28
     School pictures were taken this past Wednesday.  All students present were photographed to update our student database and records. 
     If you still need to purchase a picture package, you can do so by either 1) going to www.WagnerPortraitGroup.com or 2) returning the completed order form (with payment) directly to me next week.  By next Friday, I will deliver/provide any remaining order forms directly to Wagner Photography.
     If for some reason your child is absent on Wednesday, we will have a Re-Take Day on Wednesday, October 9.  Should you need another order form, there are extras in the Welcome Center Office. 
     If you have questions, concerns or special requests, please direct them to Wagner Portrait Groups at 314-567-5900.   

Bus Passes
     As previously communicated, please be aware that we cannot issue bus passes for the following buses until further notice:  L3, L5, L7, L9, L16, L17, and L20.

Good afternoon.  I hope that your week has gone well. CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS Thank you and congratulations to Aaron Lehde, Betsy Cytron, Michael Faris, Scott Harris, Katie Solomon and members of the LMS 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Bands for their truly wonderful performances this past Wednesday evening to a packed house at the LHWHS Performing Arts Center.  It was a truly wonderful way to end the day.  The kids (and teachers) did a fantastic job.   Administrative Professionals Day was this past Wednesday.  I cannot adequately express how valuable our office staff members are to us.  They are: Nancy Edwards, Principal’s Secretary Peggy Breidenbach, Registrar Carol Stephens, Guidance Secretary Danna Anderson, Receptionist Mary LoBosco, Assistant Principals’ Secretary Ann Mohrmann, Library Aide Kelly Shevitz, Clinic Aide Thank you, as well, to the LMSPA which allowed me to take them to lunch on their day. Good afternoon.  I hope that your week has gone well so far.   All indications point to MAP testing having gone pretty well for the 6th and 7th graders this week.  Although many hands contribute to the success of school-wide, grade level testing, I would like to share special thanks to the work put in by Associate Principal Dr. Tiffany Taylor-Johnson, Counselor Janey Worthington, Technology Coach Karl Kindt, and Teaching Assistant Katie Rahmoeller.  We should wrap up testing for 8th grade next week, with make up exams to follow.   CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS Congratulations to the LMS Science Olympiad team.  This past Saturday, they took first place at the state finals in Fulton, MO with a commanding lead over the second place team (Pembroke Hill from Kansas City).  Thirty-two of the top teams from the state were present and Ladue took top five in 20 of the 22 events.  The team will be moving on to the national finals at University of W...

Good afternoon, everyone.   I hope that your week has gone well. CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS Congratulations to LMS Literacy Coach, Erika Niles.   Erika was recently selected by the LMS Administrators and Dr. Jennifer Allen (Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum/Instruction) to receive an Excellence In Education recognition for 2015-2016.   In addition to her duties as Literacy Coach, Erika also makes a positive impact on our building and district through her work on the LMS Problem Solving Team, as the LMS Representative on the district New Teacher committee, as a member of the LMS Professional Development committee, as a member of the district Curriculum and Instruction committee, as a LMS Representative on the district RTI Planning Committee, and as a Mentor to an LMS student.   Erika will be honored at the October 26 Ladue Board of Education meeting.     CALENDAR ITEMS Monday, 9/21 7 th Grade Trip Thursday, 9/24 Fundraiser ...
